Has anyone been able to get a Mazdaspeed shift knob onto a P5? Which shifter will it fit onto? I have the stock P5 and a TWM shifter and both of the shifters are too small/or the MSP shift knob is too big? (boom05)

the MSP knob has the same threads, but the knob is deeper. you need a shifter that is made for the mazdaspeed to be able to use it.

kewl, Thanks for the tip. I'm going to take my TWM to a machine shop and see if they can cut it so that my MSP knob fits.

When I got my kartboy short shifter, I had to specify protege or MSP because they said the threads were different.

its not the threads that are different, its the LOCATION of the knob shoulder. the distance from the top of the sifter to the knob shoulder is different. the only protege that had different threads was the MP3.
