Thank you,

We spent 2 years developing the M.1, which just hit the market. Please post any questions you have here, and we'll do our best to answer them.

The gauges look pretty cool. Please check the vendor rules (http://vendor%20rules/) before conducting business on the forum. Thanks!

Prittteee Koooollll!!! I HATE connecting and wiring traditional gauges, though I do love the look.

Antoine, the ADMIN/Owner here, asks that you (Magnusfeuer) PM him directly.

Now for the big question: How much, w/o screen of course?

Also in the vid, you speak of the Ford Focus, but as usual, the lowly Mazda3 is not mentioned. Is the Focus the package you send for the 3 series Mazda's??

Damn that's cool. Does it do boost and wbO2, with or without sensors?

i think its around $600 for the computer no screen. you just hook it up to your own. the speed 3 works i promise. from the OBD II port you get-

RPM
Boost
Speed
Engine Coolant
Intake Air Temp
Battery
Ignition
Throttle Position
Mass Airflow
Fuel level
Barometric Pressure
Dynamic HP
Dynamic Torque
Torque
Gear Position
MPG
G-Force

cool stuff i want one ASAP. haha

How about wide band O2?

So more or less it's an upgraded dashhawk (does simply install through OBD-II port yes?) with maybe a few new parameters, and the info is sent graphically into a touch screen monitor? Def cool, just not my style

So, it gets teh same readings from stock senders? is that as reliable or accurate as aftermarket sensor units?

yup, and 15 more sensors you wanna add beyond stock outputs! very cool...and 600 isn't bad at all, heck what's and good wideband cost $200+?

This seems like a very cool product!! I might have to sell my custom gauge pod along with the gauges as a package deal!! Hint Hint

magden vs dashhawk - if you want to use any kind of boost controller, my understanding is that it won't be read correctly from the obd, so get a boost gauge.

edited to add - i guess it's not the installation of a boost controller, it's the installation of a map clamp when you also install the boost controller. idk if you also need a boost gauge with a bcd...idk

back to topic...that thing is cool, but requires a dash kit and a touch screen. i'll keep my dashhawk

I got a Pioneer AVH-P4000DVD today in preperation for the m1. Anyone have this deck already? Any gripes? I will probably have everything set up within a month or two with the Magden. I'll be sure to have pics/video shortly after.

So you know, I found out that pretty much all the major brands won't work with the touchscreen (Pioneer, Kenwood, Alpine). You will most likely have to get a mouse/trackball to set up the m1 unless you get the decks that are listed on magden's site.

Just wanted to post

Ive been running the magden m1 on my kenwood DDX-512 for over a month (yes you need to use a mouse with this screen as it dosent have touch screen USB inputs.. but I use a wireless mouse so no biggie.. once the gauges are set .. i dont change em too often and even then .. its a quick thing) . I have been trying to get a REVIEW post made and pics posted but with vacation and being so damn busy at work with everyone being ill .. its been tough ...

I will say this .. Magnus at Magden is TOP NOTCH .. and the gauges are awesome ..

Ill have a complete writeup of my experience with Magden and the gauges themselves shortly.

But i give them the THUMBS UP

Yeah I had a great experience with magnus on the magden forums also. He answered all my questions very quickly. For anyone interested in the m1, I have the only thread in the pre-purchase section of the forums. That thread should answer a lot of questions you may have with concern to the MS3.

Dunno why it took me so long to link my vid here, but I have had this setup for about 6 months now and loving it.

I have been meaning to get a video of mine while driving, but have not gotten around to it yet. I like the datalab view the best while driving, and it shows up the best during the daylight on my screen.

I noticed that AFR isn't a listed parameter but do you get it also?

Sp33dFr33k
08-03-2009, 11:32 AM
AFR is an option out of the box. I think the only thing that would be very good to have is KR, which it does not. They are supposedly releasing shift light capability in the next update, but are taking forever now.

On a side note mine is out for repair right now and its out of warranty. I'll let you know the details within a couple days. They should be receiving it today.

It's really cool!!!
Can it work with any kind of aftermarket head unit?

Sp33dFr33k
08-03-2009, 12:25 PM
Yea as long as there is video input. If you want to have touch screen controls instead of mouse/trackball then you have to get a screen off the Magden site.

too cool...
where have people been mounting the actual computer? i would assume in the glove box so that you would have easy access to it to plug in a mouse, and flash drives etc.
is the software for updates mac compatible?

Mine is actually under the drivers seat. Put a few pices of velcro (the hard side), and it sticks like glue.
