i'm about to hit 70k on my MP5 and just checking what proper maintenance is for around that mileage?
Tranny Flush?
Replace:
Timing Belt?
Water Pump?
Battery?
Alternator?
I also have a Check Engine Light that popped up 400mi after i installed the MIL/CEL eliminator after the header install.... i think i will go to AutoZone to get a code tomorrow
any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Josh

Timing belt / water pump not necessary until 110K miles
Don't repair alternator if it ain't broke.
If battery is original I might consider replacing it unless your starts are fine.
Tranny maint. is debatable. I just asked a mechanic friend of mine (he owns a local Goodyear shop) about tranny flushes. He said he has heard automatic tranny flush horror stories, but never had one in his shop. I've always heard bad things about flushing an auto tranny.

At 60K I did auto tranny flush with no problems...New optima redtop battery since i was running the original, Coolant flush, Oil Change, Alternator crapped out so it was replaced (expensive as F*** 380$) Brake flush, New Pads and front rotors (warped as all hell) Recharged K&N air filter on CAI
That was just my maintenance since i bought the car at 30,000 miles and had no records of maint.
As far as CEL, did you reset the ECU?
