P5 Projector retrofit thread

Hopefully, i'll be pulling the foglight setup out of the wife's car tonight to ship out to someone in exchange for thier white MSP lip!

Oh, and swap stock wheels/tires back onto her car cause her tires is bald

Started the morning after work, ripped the bumper off, painted my headlights(color coded Dark Blue Mica). Mounted my Apexcone ballasts under the bumper. Got new tires finally on my 17" rims and put them on the car, finally tore off that roof rack and added the fillers I just received in the mail today. Not bad for 12 hours worth of work. Now off to the car wash to give it some lovin. (yes)

Looks good! You'll like having that lens polished. Better light output. No glare form light trying to escape the housings from those Apexcones! lol

hahaha ur gona be gettin flashes from the opposite direction traffic like crazy at night and if ur lucky no cop will pull u over for those ILLEGAL lights :)

I'm running apexcone 35watt 4300K HID's and I don't get flashed. Just aim the headlights low enough, and you're golden

And I don't think the Apexcone is new, he just relocated ballasts to under the bumper

wow dude i get flashed here all the time
and my lights have been lowered like ALOT.
maybe its cause my streets are all dark and have no street lights

huh. i have had my kit for a while now, maybe flashed half dozen times without a load in the car. As soon as I have people in the backseat, i get flashed a wee bit more.

I don't know. I'll have projectors soon enough though.

i havent seen p5 with projectors yet.

I'll have Acura TL bixenons in sedan housings. It'll look real similiar to chicoloco's setup minus the chrome shroud. I am going all black.

Except he's using E55 projectors.

Also, Chicoloco is doing the retrofit for me and promised me in process pics, so, i'll be sharing!

Above projector is a stock Acura TSX projector, and those are dang sick!

Lower is the TL's with ZKW replica lens like I'll be running

And Chico's running an E55 shroud, i'll be running an E46, slightly different

TL looks great
TSX are just cheaper but they still look nice
but my friend told me that any HID 6000 or more will be have less road visibility.

And TL's with the ZKW lens upgrade, is brighter and more intense, although TSX's with lens upgrades are much nicer but not quite as nice as teh TL's

The projectors both use a 4300K bulb, the color is at the cutoff only and is due to the shield inside and the clear lens upgrade.

Light output is still 4300K, just like I currently have. Pure white FTW!!!

And I got a steal of a deal on this deal with the TL's.

But will start prepping for paint tomorrow....I am Spraying it Next Weekend.
