Going to install my new rotors and pads today in about an hour. Wish me luck! I received great information in the how to section. I will let you all know how it went. -DMAC

Well, great news and bad news~~
Great news is:
I fixed my annoying knocking sound by replacing the brake pads and front rotors on my car. Looks very good with nice new rotors udner the wheel.
Bad News: First it took me about 6 hrs to do all front and rear rotor/brake pad change.
Even more bad news:
The back two rotors were flippin rusted on! I tried knocking the crap out of them with a rubber mallet can they still wouldn't budge. Any ideas? I went ahead and replaced the pads, but damn those rusted rotors.
Car brakes 100% better and there is no shudder in the pedals or steering wheel.
P.S. going to get struts and springs put on, maybe I should just ask the mechanic to take off those rusted rotors for me and put my replacement rear on>?

if you are just replacing the rotor get a bfh and hit the rotor hat ( the part that the pads do not touch) between the wheel studs on the corner. hit it a few times turn the rotor a little and hit it again, it will eventualy fall off.

It can also help to heat them up with a torch then hit them with the hammer. Spraying them with wd-40 can't hurt and there are two threaded holes for bolts that you can force the rotor off with you just have to find the bolt size.

after you do it a few times you can get it done in like 1 hour if not less.

spray some pb on there and a bfh.
It's a combination that has never failed me.
