Can someone please let me know how to change the CX-9 air filter. I assume it is pretty simple- and I can 't stand bringing it to the shop for this! Thanks MP

pop the hood and take a look, its not hard.

Pop the two clips you can see, move the top of the air box around as much as possible. You will then notice you have BARELY enough room to take the filter out if at all. So, loosed the screw to the hose bracket going to the intake and pry the hose off the top of the air box. Now lift the air box lid clean off. now you should be looking at your air filter.

I recommend using a K&N filter. It has better airflow and can be cleaned instead of thrown away. The recommended cleaning schedule for the K&N was 50000 miles I think, but I clean mine every 5000.

You dont have to take anything apart to get to the filter. Undo the two clips, then slide the top housing left and it comes loose. Presto
