i was searching ebay for wheels by size, and was searching 17x8 and a set of sti bbs wheels, although really curbed and a slight bend, the size and the offset would work for the MS3, but would i need to the the hub bored out to fit? I think the mazda's are bigger than the subbies right?
reason i would want these, like the look, would go with the silver color for my cosmic blue, and i would hope that i could find a set with tires cheap on the sti forums...
any answers

Yes, that's all Ive figured out in my reserach, the hub bore needs to be enlarged.

Evo wheels fit... but they are pretty wide (lower offset.) Check out the Evo IX MR BBS wheels maybe, I think they would look nice.

thats what i liked about the early sti wheels,17x8 with a +53 offset, should work great with a bore on the hub, and some of them are forged and extremely light, would be great for autocross

In 2005 they went to the 5x114.3 and 17x8.

Apparently not. The ones that were lightweight were the 04's which you cannot put on your car. The 05-up wheels were a good 3 lbs heavier and ALL the STI BBS wheels are forged.

excuse me??? who died and made you boss, i was aware that after 04 they went from 17x7.5 and 5x100 to 17x8 and 5x114.3.... thats why i posted about the 17x8... all 17x8 sti wheels are 5x114.3, and still weigh a BOAT load lighter than the stock MS3 wheels, get off your high cloud and out of the thread if you have nothing useful to state

forged rims are going to be lighter than nonforged rims usually...
the non bbs rims were the heavy ones, the bbs ones weigh a little less than 20 lbs.

ebay and criaglist are your friend, remember, your getting forged wheels, not some cheap aftermarket stuff, from a REALLY good wheel company
