I'm putting on an OBX header should I reuse the original gasket or install the gasket that came with the header (is it any good)?

I would use the gasket that came with the header.

OBX gives you a gasket, obviously its brand new so of course roll with the new one....The gasket between the bottom of the header and mid-pipe was so burnt on it crumble when I tried to pry it off with a flat head screw driver so I drove around with a decent exhaust leak until they got the part in, and i did my header at 40k so imagine anymore then that....ANYWAYS save yourself the trouble, NAPA has the gasket the cheapest and the part number is Mazda part BP48-40-581A

The lead gasket between the N/A j-pipe and the mid-pipe is sometimes very difficult to re-use...That is what Ben is talking bout here...

Yes use a new gasket between the head and the header...

Yes, probably a good idea to pick up a new lead gasket for between the header and the mid-pipe...I re-used mine, but got lucky cause it came off in one piece and in good shape...

EDIT....##NINJA'd by Ben....Oh wells...

Ben, I got infracted for my Gay porn link lol...

I read somewhere that the OBX Header gasket was junk, is this true? In the how to install an OBX header, our good buddy Ken from Protege Garage says to leave the original gasket in place. Already got the NAPA Donut gasket last week. Thanks

I have a Tsudo header (basically the same header) and from pics it looks like the gasket (header to block) I got is the one that comes with the OBX as well. I don't think it's trash, but I went ahead and ordered the OEM Mazda part from Jason @ onlinemazdaparts.com and comparing the two, the OEM Mazda looked more quality. I think the OBX would probably be fine, but the Mazda part isn't that much, and I thought it was a little higher quality.

I torqued everything down to spec and the gasket that came with the headers leaked. I ended up using the old OEM one and I haven't had a problem since.

x2 on the new donut gasket. Unless you like the fresh smell of unscrubbed exhaust fumes in the morning...
