On top of my ongoing problems, I was just curious if a bad cat would cause my car to make an akward noise?

could, would normally cause bogging and funny odor first

The car is bogging. Its just the strangest sound.

im having the same problem. and im getting a funny smell coming from under the car. and CEl PO103

A rattling sound is what ive seen a bad cat cause. After a drive see if the cats glowing red.

CEL P0103 = MAF circuit high input..possible faulty maf.

I had the bad MAF a couple of months ago...and replaced it.

would not building boost very fast be another symptom? I've got a MAM midpipe with a highflow cat, and lately I get a small backfire maybe once or twice a day. Maybe its on the way out. Normally you'd check a half dozen other things when your not building boost very well, but I wanted to ask how much of an impact it would have.
