New owner of a 02 Miata LS

Hello,
Just got my "new" 02 Miata LS on my birthday (June 13th). Having a great time driving it and i already noticed i need to upgrade my stereo...big time. The only problem i'm having is finding the correct place to put a sub in. If you have any ideas please spill the beans.

some people custom fab a sub box to replace the wind blocker, but if you decide to add a roll or style bar later, it will all end in tears...

the trunk is semi-viable, as if you open the carpet behind the seats, there are a couple places where the trunk cavity wraps around the gas tank area, to meet the "cockpit".... a little bit of creative cutting could allow a pair of small sub speakers behind the seats, turning the entire trunk into a nice woofer chamber.

Or, you can do like many of us do, and just get a nice intake and exhaust, turn the radio off, and make your own soundtrack. RB intake+exhaust makes for a nice deep tone when putting your right foot into it, squealing of tires under hard cornering makes a great chorus, and nothing is is more exhilarating than the sound of wind whipping around your helmet :D

I like the option you gave instead of upgrading the stereo. Maybe i will do both then.
