Thanks to whoever recommended that stuff. Had I not heard about it in here, I would have never known it existed when I went to buy some rim cleaner. It's a pretty amazing product for 15 bucks. Now the question is, what do you guys/gals use to clean the tailpipe?

Nothing, but if you feel it's necessary, just use a shop towel with some soapy water.

Turtle Wax chrome polish works good for me.

I thought Ice was good but give it a few weeks and you will think different. I used the detailer and I was getting smudges and the car looked greasy.

I went back to Meguiars NXT and tried the 2.0 and like it much better.

Meguiars is the shit. I use the carwash, which is the cheapest name-brand stuff you can buy, wax, quick detailer, and the claybar. It all works great and is fairly quick and easy compared to most.

Ice is a beotch to get off without letting it sit in the sun for awhile. I also went back to using NXT after trying out Ice. It was good, but didn't seem to last that long.

And ICE wax is good...easy to apply...lasts a couple weeks,

My #1 thing about ice is being able to polish all the plastic etc...with it...and it last 100000X longer than armour all kinda crap..

Plus I also use it to polish my calipers...unpainted they are...and they look like they are brand f-ging new...

I have no friggin idea I just did a google image search and that came up so I stole it.

Edit: It's out of a 68 Datsun 2000 roadster. http://www.mydatsunroadster.com/2006_02_01_archive.html

Nufinish in the orange bottle is THE BEST wax i've ever used. Liquid paste easy to apply, does leave white residue so you have to be careful. But the stuff goes on really easy and smooth (i can wax in the direct Florida sun) and lasts for a really long time.

And the Nufinish scratch remover.... removed 3 little scratches i got after hitting a cooler going 90 down I-95.

thats so cool, i mean Datsun's just kick ass straight up. I once met this guy when was working at Canadian Tire, and he had a Datsun 210 and had dropped a 347ci stroker in it, oh man was that thing ever freaking cool

although i typically tend to stay away from anything thats listed with turtle wax and Armour all (allthough i do use those wipes just to clean the door hinges and what not as to not destroy my clothes)
I typically tend to use Meguiers and products from 3m and what not

They market the turtle wax ice liquid clay bar like a miracle detailing product which it most certainly isn't. However, that being said, I used it to clean up a very, very neglected work truck. Ie: hadn't been washed in years and the liquid clay bar was perfect for that purpose. It really did a good job of getting the vehicle perfectly clean while washing it with water. Much better than a half assed liquid wash and then trying to use a cleaner product on the paint.

The interior cleaner from the ice brand is really good. After using armour all and it leaving that shiney coating everywhere, i switched to the turtle wax interior and it works alot better

my only problem with it is the squeeze top like off of gatoraids. You go to squeeze it gently to let a little out and it squirts a whole bunch all over the place... I've learned not to aim it in the car when applying... even though it works really well at cleaning the carpets as well.

yeah the ice detailer is pretty good, i've never tried the other kind. smells good and goes on plastic, unlike wax.
