i have 49xxx on a 2000 ES with a MT. when im in 2nd gear taking a corner i will let off the gas and the engine drops to about 2500 maybe 2000 rpm and when i get back on the gas (no hard, just getting to the speed limit) the car will shake untill about 3k then be fine. i dont smell clutch when this happens, im just worried b/c the was this one time in a parking lot where i was trying to figure out the perfict rpm to launch at and i gave it too much gas, dumped the clutch and the car shot to the rev limiter and it didnt move(blarf). it only did this for maybe .5 of a second but the car really smelled like rotten eggs. after that for about 30 mins it would shudder when i would start form at stop but seemed to fix it self. its been about 2k since that excpet for this shuddering. it seems as if its almost bogging down. i know i shouldnt have been launching at such a high rpm. im wonder, did i do serious damage to my clutch? i dont want to start putting money into the car if i should be buying a clutch first. since that incedent i havent done anything like that.
