Hi,

Would 235/40 tyres fit on the stock rims?

And would the 235/40 wheels fit on my MS3 with H&R springs?

Sorry for my bad english... i'm french.

235 is a bit wide for a 7" wheel. They'll fit, but they'll be noticebly bulging.

That link will give you the stats for the stock setup on the left and your proposed setup on the right. In brief, it says that the overall package will be .4" wider on each side (.8" overall increase in width). Take a ruler to your car and see if that will still clear, but of course different tires will bulge differently.

For the gazillionth time, check the tire manufacturer's website for recommended rim widths.

I'm not sure about 235's but I do know that there are some 225/40/18's that'll fit our 7inch stock wheel fine.

He's a lover, not a fighter. Although he's bigger than the photo makes him look. Believe it or not, he weighs 80 pounds and he wouldn't be alone. We have another 80 pounder and a 100 pounder that we are currently fostering. Safety in numbers. Actually the viscious one is our mix-breed female (looks like a cross between a golden retriever and a fox) who is only 45 pounds, but when she has had enough, none of the others mess with her.
Typical, nobody wants to mess with a pissed off female.
One more thing you can learn from your dog.

Mid LIfe Crisis - Yeah he looks like a lovable dog and no 80lbs isn't exactly small fries.

Anyways, so did the OP get his question answered?

on an 8 inch rim I had some rubbing with 235/40 on stock suspension but only when autocrossing . I had the cobb springs and sways installed and all the rubbing went away . Also the wheephop and tires breaking loose .

7 inches is too narrow. They will fit depending on wheel offset. Any offset less than 50mm will probably rub. Mine rub @ 8 inches wide with 48mm ET.
