not to terribly hard. basically your main concern is the wire for your rpm info. That one itself depending on your year, in my case 03 dx, is a purple and white wire below the diag box in your engine compartment. The rest is is ground and light. Best to get light from the actually light switch for your beams, the beam intensity toggle switch is a bit backwards, and makes your tach go darker as your interior goes lighter, and vice versa.

no worries, Im hoping my information was helpful. I know it worked for my 03 dx, only issue was finding which wire it was.

Would a cluster with a tach work in a car that didnt come with one? I think that would be the best route.

yeah it would, i did my a pillar mounted tach because i couldnt find a cluster. I know if you have the dx, I believe its the lx w/o keyless entry that is the same plug and would work.

Protoge321...how did your aftermarket tach install go? I tried the cluster swap, but after some wiring research, i realized my car isn't even wired for it. Not to the cluster anyway. So how did yours end up. Thanks.
