I am so embarrassed by the sound of the horn on my 2008 M5. It sounds like it came off a very very small car. It sounds worse than the Roadrunner's beep beep. There is no way I can get any respect with that horn so has anyone changed their horn? What did you replace it with?

Thank you

+1 for the Hella Supertones. They are loud but they are high pitched. However I was disappointed they weren't "meaner" sounding. So I added the Stebel motorcycle airhorns - so now I have both!

I don't have them in my 5 but I have them in my Subaru Legacy Turbo.

You have to mount them vertically or they have been know to die on you. But they really get some attention, dual tone (tri-tone with the supertones) and come with a relay appropriate for them. More compact and easy to set up than the classic airhorn - compressor, horn and tube - set up.

Get the heck outta my way!!

2007 models are extremely loud, especially when arming the alarm. You can usually hear it a block away and if people are standing in front of your car, it usually makes people jump as it is quite startling.
