I think those are the best looking wheels for the MS3 also. How do you like the tires in the wet/rain?

It hasn't rained much of anything in SF lately. But I did thrash about one rainy day in Sacramento. Passed with flying colors ;)

Amazing tires. Arguably the best I've used on the street. Period.the Rays are arguably one the best wheels for performance ..period. And those are as The Mazda gods intended her to look. Do not post the weight of the wheels. i know you know. That is enough. So pleased about tires for you! Crazy sticky tires, it is a different car now,eh? I sure would like to run through hills and tight turns against your speed, for fun. The car really perks up doesn't it. Can hardly wait to install sway bars

I ordered the wheels from Protege Garage at $450 a pop. Tires came from tirerack. This setup makes the car a whole new animal. However, the stickiness kinda brings out the limitations of my current suspension setup (MS springs and stock sways. When I finish paying off the $$ I just spent, I think it'll be coilovers and new sways....

Please god, make it stop :-S

I might have to go the same route with the rims

What are you looking for in a suspension setup...?
CP-E is currently R&Ding a Koni setup with matched springs. It won't be height adjustable, but it will be the best performing springs/shocks out there. If you're into looks, then any coilover will do...

looks great on silver, but not so much on black in my opinion by looking at previous owners that had them on black.

Your car looks amazing, I have always loved those wheels. I must add that your photography skills are great too, fantastic parking to make use of lighting. It gives that nice gradient that makes silver really shine.

Awesome! (thumb)

thanks a lot for all the positive feedback! I shoot for a hobby and thought that the SFO area was a great place to snap off a few with my new 40D.

I was thinking coilovers due to bound/rebound adjustabilty. To my knowledge there were no tuned spring/shock combos for the MS3 that offered such dual abjustabilty. I could really care less about ride height. I've done the slammed thing ages ago and the negatives easily outweigh the positives IMHO. Any ideas when the CP-E/Koni combo will hit?

I have no idea...they are still R&Ding... They should be working with Koni on custom valving some shocks. They still have to work on the springs.
The only contact I know is "stretch" on the forum who started the tread. He is the one personally working the project.
