Anyone have this exhaust setup?

2.5 inch catted midpipe, with custom 2.5 inch cat back into the stock muffler. Resonator deleted. I think there was something similar in the old exhaust thread but half of the links are dead.

I was just curious how it sounds. I have a mam midpipe so far. thx.

Why keep the stock muffler? The inlet is 2.25" (maybe smaller) and would choke out some performance gains.

If it's noise you're worried about, there are quiet(er) 2.5" mufflers available.

just go 3" all the way lol, or buy the vibrant cat back and get a 3" catless midpipe lol.

The last inch or so of the stock piping kinda flares out into the muffler, so I figured maybe a larger dia pipe could be run up to it. Now weather or not its a bottleneck on the inside I wouldn't know. But I'm still on the stock downpipe anyway so the muffler is the least of my concern. Just looking for a little more sound. Hopefully its not too raspy.

I'm kinda doing the exhaust on the cheap and I wan't to keep it looking stock. Something about the larger mufflers doesn't look right. Almost like you need larger/wider wheels to complement the more muscular look of the backend. I like the way the magnaflow catback sounds but the tip looks more ugly than the stocker. I'd rather save the extra cash to diagnose my turbo issues and get water injection. thx folks
