i ordered some ground control coilovers a while ago and tried to have them installed a couple weeks ago. needless to say the gc sleeves don't fit over the msp's stock tokico struts. i called ground control and they said they don't carry coilovers specific to the msp and they don't know how people with msp's are fitting them on their cars. i know members on here have gc coilovers and need to know how you fit yours in or if you had a special kit of parts put together by gound control. any info or part numbers would help me out a lot.

they sent me #5046 for 99- protege's incl. mp3 and mp5, and they obviously don't fit. thanks for the help.

front springs are 180.64.61
rear springs are 200.64.44

Send a PM to low_psi, I think he might be using them.

thanks man, i pm'd "RUSH" and "Yellow Msp" because i saw they use them. I got some feed back, but no definite answers. I think i might just sell them rather than send them back and deal with the whole restocking fee and shipping.

they fit. You have to take off the little metal covers on top of the strut. I'm running gc's and tokico blues

You have to chisel the top cap off, place the sleeve around the strut and then hammer the cap back on.

I think I have a pic saved somewhere from years ago... found it.
