First off - A few months ago I had an unfortunate run in with a curb. I had both front lower control arms and ball joints replaced, along with the entire steering rack and the drivers side front rim.
Now, I hear a loud clunking noise sometimes when I push the clutch in while accelerating or braking. This only happens when turning left or if I have the wheel pointing left at all. As a test, I found a parking lot and cranked the wheels all the way to the left. I gave a little gas and let of the clutch enough to roll a few inches forward. It made a loud clunk. I was on a slight hill and when I rolled back, it made another loud pop.
I looked at the cv boots as other posts have suggested, but they all look in good condition, no tears or anything. As I mentioned earlier, I had both front ball joints replaced with the control arms. From what I've read, this doesn't sound like a bearing issue(although I could be wrong).
Do you all think this sounds like a CV problem or something else?
Thanks
