New member here. :)
As you can see from my username, my name is Chris and I just picked up a new Mazdaspeed3. Its a metropolitan grey mica 2008.5 GT. The only options are the auto dimming/homelink mirror and wheel locks. I just picked it up yesterday so I've only driven it 30 miles but so far I really like it. 1st mod will be to tint the windows.

This is my 1st Mazda but I've owned a couple of other imports.
This is what I got rid of: 2006 Maxima

This is what I had before the Maxima: 2002 WRX

And just to throw another pic. in the mix. :) This is my "fun" weekend car: 1989 Mustang LX.

2002 wrx.....mmmmmmmmmmmmm, tasty. I would have bought that off you, actually in the market for pretty much the exact same car a s a weekend warrior.
How are you liking the speed? I'd get one if I thought I could afford one and the rex....as it stands now I'll be picking up a regular 3 as a DD this fall and hopefully will find a bug eye as a project car.

Little confused. Are you asking why I went from a WRX to a Maxima? Or why I went from a Maxima to a Speed3?

My bro said this was the best place for info on my 08 Mazdaspeed 3. I picked up my sport for $1,000 under invoice ($20,730), 1 week ago today. I've put on 88 miles with way more to come. By far this car has one of the best driving dynamics of any fwd vehicle I've driven.

Man, people are getting some great deals on the sports!
I'm at 6,200 miles or so and still loving it. Have to resist the urge to go tear up the back roads.

I had the WRX for 5-1/2 yrs. I really liked it but I wanted something a little more refined. I originally was looking at the Altima but I didn't care for the interior. They gave me a pretty good deal on the Max. so I bought it. There were certain quality issues I had with it, in the 2 yrs I owned it, that pissed me off considering how expensive the car was so I got rid of it and bought the MS3.
The MS3 reminds me a lot of WRX (minus the AWD) It is more refined and seems to have better fit and finish and it "feels" quite a but quicker, especially from a roll. So far, I really like it and I don't miss the Max. at all.

Chris08MS3, you must be a Cook motors customer running across the parking lot there to the Mazda side, am I right?

Nope. I actually live in the Grand Rapids area. I just took those pics. in a random parking lot.

Just meant that you went from the Nissan to the Mazda. At Cook they are in the same dealership across the lot from one another.
