I'm about to purchase a parts car(1999 auto 1.6L) to help revert my current car into a stock daily driver.

I have a heavily modified 2002 LX-T [2.0L and 5-speed transmission].
All of the parts on my car (engine, trans, turbo, suspension) are going into my 1999 roll caged chassis (which used to have a 1.6L manual).
All of the parts from the parts car are going into my daily.

So, in the end, I'll have a race car (with my 2.0L engine + 5-speed trans + turbo kit + trans) and a stock 2002 1.6L protege DD.

My questions are :
-Does anyone know if the sub-frames are the same between the chassis'?
-Are there any major differences in the suspension of both years (a-arms strut towers, etc)?
-Anything else that may prevent me from swapping a 1.6L into my 2.0L chassis?

Not sure about the sub-frame, but the suspension is the same. That's Biknman's Hill climb protege.

You're correct! But it's mine now. (thumb)

I'm waiting on the owner of the parts car to get back to me.
As soon as the parts car is in pieces I'll do the 2.0L ->1.6L swap in my daily driver.
Then start the slow build on the race car.

also suggest, get jdm awd system, since its a race car....

The awd system is notoriously weak and too heavy.
It won't like 225whp of abuse and I love my Quaife too much!
