I am looking into this set;
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140240463788&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:us

How would it do for daily driving? I may be using KYB GR2 struts or Tokico Illuminas depending on $$. Thanks! ! ! ! ! !

IF you get this setup, prepare to get the MSP tokico blue struts (different than the HP's) for the correct fitment. Right now I have the HP's and the front of my car is sitting high in the air compared to the back. The ride is great though!

The sway bars need the MSP bushings and connectors
The strut bar needs the connecting plates that mount on top of your strut mounts.

The setup is a great one.... it's just not complete. Good luck.

while that kit "Appears" to be a good bargin, like was mentioned, you will need the actual MSP struts to be able to use the springs, you will need all the swaybar bushings and brackets, you will need new MSP endlinks, and to use the strut bar you will need the two end brackets that mount to the strut towers. also, if you have cruise control, you will need all the little bits and brackets to relocate the cruise module.

so, while you can purchase that kit for about $200, you will easily spend another $5-600 just to be able to use all of it.

I'd say that's not a terrible deal. You'd want to get new struts regardless imho

Wow, I didn't figure I'd have to spend another 5-600 for the other parts. I thought all the Protege suspensions were the same. Maybe it would be better to get some Eibach Sportline or ProKit springs, and sway bars. Anyone make a GOOD coilover for the Protege? All the crap I see on ebay looks like crap. Not looking to make my car a Lotus, just better daily driving.

the problem with the mazdaspeed set-up, and the only problem, is that the springs and struts were designed to only be used together. the rear struts have a higher perch height, and when the springs are used on the regular struts, the rear sags too much. the mazdaspeed set-up is very good at what it does, but you have to use all the bits together.
