01+ Dash cluster into a 2000 LX possible?

I found a 03 Protege SE at a local yard with the OEM white face gauges . I have a 2000 LX, and the size looks like it will swap in no problem, but is the wiring plug and play?

And does 5 speed to auto matter? I don't have any lights on my dash thay say whether I'm in D, R, N, or P. If anyone can respond quickly I'd appreciate it, as I am trying to get it Thursday or Friday. Thanks!

yes it does fit and most everything works...

you can faintly see the cut line i had to make for the temp and fuel gauge...well when i switched them out...the temp gauge didn't work...so i just cut it and replaced it with mine and slipped the white face plate back on...

now the automatic question...i can't answer, sorry...i would say, "why do you drive auto???" lol ;-)
