Agreed 100%. I've said it before too, if the car is lowered, it definitely looks better with no moldings. But if it's at stock height, removing the moldings makes the car look too tall and bubbly.

Theres nothing like it. there are some nice mountain roads in norcal too. They would have turned out much better if I had a nice SLR to play around with.

Interesting, side by side with the STI. The MS3 definetly has the better front but the STIs fenders and molding make it look beefier and bigger, though on paper they're almost identical in size.

Help me understand, I would have thought the MS3 overseas would have been labled the Mazda 3 MPS with the euro rear bumper (it's alot smoother instead of having the larger rear bumper support bulge). Did you transfer your car from the US/Canada? Or have you always lived there and bought the car overseas?

The ones in these shots are with the 18-55 out of the box. I have a larger one but I hardly use it when shooting cars.

Pulled most of them out with a welder, the ones that were too deep were covered with body filler. I took it in July 15th and got it back August 22nd, and it looks awesome. There is actually a red pinstripe on the hood that was the shops idea, and I think it looks good. Just have to get the wheels done to match the car now...

What are the "rules" (as in laws) about parking your car outside a building and snapping away? Interesting scenery is pretty far and few between where I am, and I always wondered if I park my car and start snapping if some business owner would bust out the doors and shoo me away!

It all just depends on the buisness owner and if they are ok with it or not. That's why I snap pics in forest preserves, back of buildings, abandoned buildings, and unopened buildings... so there is almost no chance of being harassed.

The place that I am going isn't as bad as it used to be. They actually have buildings with roofs on them not just tents :D

I guess the base doesn't get mortared as much as it did last time I was there. They call it Mortaritaville but I think it doesn't happen much anymore.

I guess I will work on my tan out on the flight like and think of some mods that I can do when I get back.

No, they are the basic set. I just couldn't bring myself to plonk down more than $50 for mud flaps. I think they look great for being "basic." :)

No, they are the basic set. I just couldn't bring myself to plonk down more than $50 for mud flaps. I think they look great for being "basic." :)

I have the basic as well. Be warned thought, if you're car is dropped at all there's a very good chance they'll start to warp a bit on you. I've had mine on since sometime in late Jan./early Feb. and they've warped from scraping on speed bumps and driveways and that's being lowered on the MS3 specific Eibach Pro-Kit.

Thanks for the warning, however my car is not dropped. It seems to (so far) clear most driveways and speed bumps. Good thing about the basic set though is that if they do start to warp/wear, they are cheap to replace :)

I've had the basics for 9.5 months or so and put about 15k on them or so of all highway speed (read 75+ MPH) and the sides are starting to curve. LOL They do the job though. . .

Mine scrape coming out/in the garage everytime, and im not even lowered. But they are still in great condition.

I sprung for the UR, and I think they were worth it for the look and durability.

Shiny black with red lettering looks pretty good on CWP with a black and red license plate. Plus it gives the back end of the car a wider looking stance.

Nope, just the 3M tape from autozone. Its about 1in wide tape with the red backing on it.
