they are 18x8 5x114.3 e45. Im also running the stok tires with no rubbing issues. i also paid under $900 for the set shipped.

i wanted something different from everyone else. i actually ordered a set of basic wrx flaps before they offered them for the speed to try and make them work, but then they came out with UR for the speed. So i called up rally armor and had them make me a set in red. :) Im really happy with them even if some people don't like them.

What's funny is, I was wondering last night "I wonder if you can make the 'Mazdaspeed' label on the tachometer to light up?" Now, this guy converts his dash to white.

Let us know how you did that? Did you have to disassemble the entire gauge assembly?

I think if it were me, I'd change only the tachometer to white, leave the rest red to match the interior. That'd be really unique in my opinion. Sorta like how they do on most cars, make the tachometer a different color?

Yeah I was surprised how clean it looked, almost like it hid a lot of the dirt.

I was at work all day and left at 11:30pm so I didn't go messin around with the rest of the traffic the rest of the day. I just went home, grabbed the camera and went driving by myself with no one else on the road. Pretty lucky.

I've found if you leave the rear defrost on for too long then its too hot and dries and streaks when you dont have a constant water on it making it look worse. Or thats how it seems on my car, if theres a steady rain or snow its fine.

I didn't like the old red gauges on red numbers either. When I test drove a 08, I had a hard time checking my speed at a glance. I was real glad when my 08.5 came in, the white needles made a huge difference.

If this guy will ever post a "how-to" on his gauges, i'm going to invert my Tach to white only and leave the rest red.

white cars are popular here around the houston area... it gets hot... damn hot, so a white car make sense... definitely if you like to carry surfboards around in the summer (mine fit in bags, so it doesn't matter)....

personally, i would have bought silver if it was available (i don't understand) i like the red, and i feel it might be the more elusive color in our area for the '09s.. though the fuzz does seem to notice red more around here (100mph is 100mph, i don't care what color you are driving)..

I am kinda leaning towards just doing it at home, its cheaper, you can paint the center caps and keep the center emblem chrome, you can touch up any chips....

The MS3 front has way to many bumps and curves to do solo, especially for a novice like me. I paid 675.00 for the bumper, headlights, foglights, 24" along the hood/fenders, and side mirrors. Worth every penny. :cool:

Anodized, metallic blue for a set of wheels don't exactly flow. No more than bleached hair on a dark skinned person looks out of place. It's awkward and stands out in a bad way.

i live in a town that is just terrible to the finish on cars... so i wax the front end often, and the spot just over the windshield, and the a-pillars. usually get a bit of wax after a wash... i sometimes even put on some rain-x (i know it's bad, but so are the love bugs) ..

so i buy the bottle of touch up... tape around the spot... fill with the paint... then wet sand off with 600, then 1000, until tape starts to get sanded, then buff out spot, and wax... basically the same way i repair a surfboard... good enough...

Just under 300 miles on mine and I have a 1/8" dark chip dead center right on the front of my hood...I went to wash the car for the first time and couldn't believe my eyes...and of all the primer colors to use...grey, what a crock of shit.

Clear bras are very helpful on white cars that chip easily, especially ones with dark colored primer. Some people think its a waste, i think it works great.

no worries.. there may be a better way, but that is the way i do it. and it doesn't leave that little bumpy area where the repair is..... i leave the tape on and wet sand, that way the tape protects most of the area... you can even use 2000 but i think 1000 or 1500 is plenty...

i hope it warms up for you soon.. cold weather sucks (i'm from FL)

its cause the spokes go all the way to the edge of the rim.. most people get wheels that have a 1/2-1inch lip.. i stayed away from it cause i wanted a similar look as stock (which i think look right on the car) but still distinctively different ... thanks for the comments guys

The grille on the MS3 is part of the bumper cover. If you wanted something reversible you would need to wrap yours with vinyl.

Mine is painted on, a vinyl overlay would be the easiest if you don't want anything permanent. Mine has some imperfections that I need to fix but it's too cold right now.

so what's the suspension? tire size? and any fender rolling? basically how did you get it to fit??? im planning on slamming my car on 18x8's

Wheels & Tires: 18"x8" rx8 wheels (painted Medium Marblehead metallic) & 225/40/18

Fender lips are not rolled. At the height pictured, minimal rubbing with 1 or more passengers. Rubbing only occurs on inner fender liners when steering is at full lock & car is in reversing up an incline. Otherwise, no rubbing.

Tint is Llumar 35%. Coilovers are height adjustable only. Rears are maxed out and the fronts are about 3/8" from max drop.

FUCK SOK07! lol I'm so lost now whether I want 35% or 20%. I'm definately getting one or the other consistant all around. Up until I saw your pictures I was sure I wanted 20% all around, but that 35% looks perfect even in a sunny day.. Did you have any doubts?

Great combo. I am also looking at H&R coils with RX8 wheels. I've thought about a used set and repainting the wheels a slightly darker silver, but new ones are just over 800. Tough choice.
