hey there guys
ive been searching around for a picture of the BJ g series 5th gear shift fork setup.. and i'm not finding anything.
the 97+ escort sohc's have a g series, but they use a different fork setup on 5th with a seperate small-diameter shaft (i'll try and get a picture). the BG chassis g-series ive worked with all have the 5th gear fork connected to the large shifter rod with the other forks.
i'm trying to use this escort gearset/rear case in my new transmission build, and i'm wondering if the BJ uses a similar setup... i just dont want to use it if it is grossly inferior. i'm mainly using it because it has low miles, longer gears, and a longer final drive (3.85).
