How much did it cost you to get your LSD welded?

Like the title says .. I'm tryin' to find a ballpark figure for how much it would cost to have the LSD welded. I know it isn't gonna be a cheap thing, since the tranny has to be pulled and whatnot -- but can someone give me an estimate?

Are there any downsides to a welded LSD compared to a stock LSD? I've been lucky so far and haven't done it yet. LSD is still strong. I'm debating welding it but it seems like that would cause potential issues.

o fuck no 75-120 is just for the welding. and id advise him if he or she was pulling the transmission before he or she goes to have it welded clean it thoroughly becuase the less they have to clean before welding the less the price is going to be so clean the fuck out of it

u should PM Turfburn... i know i asked him, and he told me a price but i dnt remember it... i am pretty positive that he had it done out of the car, hence his great write-up/how-to for the MSP Trans Rebuild...

I found a shop to do it.. pulling the tranny, disassembling/reassembling the tranny then putting it back on the car with the welded LSD was going to be $400. Welding is going to be in addition to that.

I pulled mine myself with no previous experience and put it back, it really wasnt as hard as it seemed. However i bought a new welded unit from protege garage and dropped it in. However i havent put the trans back in yet because im debating having it hardcore built.
