Hi Guys,
In order to verify and clean my O2 sensor, is it only a matter of unscrewing it from the manifold and unplugging the harness? Also, when I screw it back, do I need to use some kind of sealing product or grease?
Thanks

yup, its as simple as that. just reverse the order - unplug the harness, THEN unscrew the sensor.

Is there a torque specification when screwing it back? And no sealling product is required?
Thanks

it should have a sealing ring on it, something like what you find on a spark plug. you might put some of that high heat copper anti-seize compound on the threads, but you shouldn't need anything else. tighten it down enough so it doesn't leak, and you should be good to go.

Cool thanks a lot! What would be the best for cleaning it up: Brake cleaner or electronic cleaner?
Thanks

i have no idea. mine has 147000 miles on it, and still works great. and when i put my header on at about 125-130000, it still looked clean to me.

i did some searching, and electrical cleaner might not even work. think about where the sensor is located... right in the middle of your burning hot exhaust gases. are you getting an ECU code? what is it?

No CEL, but Im having issue with my AFC at idle so just want to be sure that it is not the O2 sensor sending bad data.

Sorry for the thread jack man, but i was wanting to clean my o2 sensors after crap gas milage and CEL po421 warm up cat below threshold bank one
Or will it be better to just buy a new one? or will cleaning it do the job?
