Searching for a Protege 5

I'm looking for a P5 to replace my '88 323, since the P5 will serve the same purpose and be a hugely better car.

Now, I plan on doing a KL or KL-ZE V6 swap, so I'm looking for a P5 with a bad engine and/or transmission, as long as the rest of the car is decent enough. Looking for black, silver, either blue, would be interested in white. Red and yellow are last resorts. :D

5 speed preferred, can do an auto since I have access to the 5 speed parts I'd need.

All the ones I see online are running cars either with low miles or lots of miles, $4500 being the least expensive. There's a wrecked one on eBay but it looks like a complete mess. I'd like to keep this below $3,000. Let me know if you guys know of any that fit my criteria! I'm in St. Louis so the closer the better!

Yeah I saw it...besides it being yellow, it's modified...now mine will be modified, but I'd like to start with a clean slate. I mean that is tastefully done, but part of the enjoyment for me is doing these things myself rather than buying a car with stuff done to it.

Also, and I'll sound cheap, that price is more than I'm looking to spend. Since I'll be doing a KL-ZE swap to it, the car doesn't have to even run...I mean it would be nice, but if the price is right it doesn't matter. It can have some damage or be missing parts, etc. I work at a Mazda dealership and get the parts discount, my brother deals with Mazda parts and a salvage yard that gets BJ Proteges and has a P5 at the moment, and my dad is a Mazda Master Tech. I have it good. :) So I guess I'll just wait for one to be traded in at work or find one local. There's one out there for me, I just have to wait...that's what happened with my Protege and my Miata - I passed up others and fell into awesome deals.
