So after i realized my rear calipers were bining up i decided to finally drop the car off to fix a few things. There was also a cel P0131, i think, that told me the primary O2 sensor was shot. I also had a corksport exhaust installed with the motor mount inserts. The exhaust required me to extend the wires to the secondary O2 in the exhaust because the bung was further down the piping. When i replaced the primary O2 in the header i went with a universal one rather than the mazda one because of a $125 price difference. The day i picked the car up it drove fine all the way home, about 45 minutes. The next day i put some gas in, 89 i think, and the car started jerking and hesitating on the highway. I initially thought bad gas so i drove around for a while to kill the gas and then filled up with ultra 94. Today the car has the same problems. It drives fine for the first 15 minutes and then it starts to shit the bed. I'm pretty sure it's not bad gas now and I'm leaning toward the universal primary O2 sensor. If anyone has any ideas of what's going on please let me know, or the car is going back tonight to have the mazda O2 sensor installed. Thanks.
oh, forgot, i also did the CEL trick with the bung in the exhaust to get a smaller whiff of exhaust gas and not throw a CEL.

only had like 30 bucks left in my account after the work so i thought i'd get the most gas for what i could with some groceries, $15 of gas, got me like a 1/4 tank. i always do 93, this was the first time i tried a lower grade, whick is why i thought it could be the bad gas. only to end up depositing a check later to fill up with 94, car still feels like it's about to stall and then comes back to life, over and over, it's exteremely annoying.

You filled with the wrong fuel grade and now you're on here wanting help on your problem? You're gonna experience that for some time until your next fill again. It's not going to affect your o2 sensor. It might fuck up your plugs and you can check that first.

relax funky, i already posted that i filled up afterwards with 94, twice. and as far as wanting help for my "problems", i could have sworn that's what this post is for. i will check my plugs though, so thanks for that at least.

Try to stay out of boost until your ready to fill up again. Then we'll go from there. Is the rest of the car stock?

thanks nd4msp - i actually found the problem monday. the wires from the new O2 sensor in the header were a little long and were being bitch slapped by the fan in front. The fan eventually cut one of the wires. i butt joined the wire back together and everything is back to normal. the cel went off the next day.
oh, and the car is stock except for a customMSP smic, modified air box, and the corksport exhaust
