Windshield chip

My windshield has a small chip by rock, so is it under warranty by factory?

if you dont want to go through your insurance, i would recommend going to a windshield repairs center asap to have the chip filled in before it begins to spider out (if its a big chip and starting to crack). Should cost about $25.

Changing the CX9 windscreen looks like it would be a pretty big job, If its just a chip I would have it filled as stated above.

Your insurance company will most likely pay to have the chip repaired, with no charge to you. Call them. They would rather pay a small fee to repair the chip vs. pay to replace a windshield. I have had 3 or 4 chips repaired in my vehicles over the last several years. The glass company came to my work place and did the repair in the parking lot, and all I did was sign the invoice so they could charge my insurance company.
