if you are looking for performance gains as well, you need to replace more than just the catback portion.

i recommend the vibrant exhaust to everyone who asks. a local msp buddy bought a vibrant after hearing it on my car. i absolute love the sound, extremely deep. also, the exhaust is a high quality piece.

there are tons of different options. there is also an exhaust thread that has sound clips of different setups. if you have any questions about the vibrant, feel free to ask.

I have always wanted a ghl but I have a perrin.

the nice thing about the vibrant is that it has a high flow cat.

also its easier to install than a ghl. the ghl is a true turbo back exhaust (it replaces the "s-pipe" which is a small pipe directly off the turbo.

the vibrant does not replace this pipe meaning you do not have to remove the turbo/manifold assembly for the exhaust install. at the level you are at now, there is no point in replacing the s-pipe. Down the road, you can buy the corksport spipe and replace it when you start pushing big numbers (if you ever do). That is the route i went, vibrant then i added the corksport spipe.

they only have it for a p5, vibrant perrin and corksport are the best choices in my opinion. I think you would like corksport alot and its also cheap

My Perrin sounds nice, "grumbly" like an STI kind of.

V I B R A N T. i was going to buy the Perrin, simply for the "cool factor" or having no cats and the fact that it's all 3", but i got talked out of it and into the vibrant. couldn't be happier, Vibrant is still loud, but not obnoxious, and i kept the cat so one less thing to worry about come time for emissions. also, the Vibrant replaces more of the exhaust than the Perrin.

GHL here. Of course I love it! I think everyone loves the exhaust they have. There seem to be many different variables on what you could do with your exhaust. It really seems like not a lot of people are running the GHL. It is pretty pricey. I've also got mine "hacked up" with an exhaust cut-out.

the fitment of the vibrant is amazing. the tip sits pretty much flush with the back of the car.

What is included in the Vibrant? Do you need to change your exhaust hangers, etc.?

It's recommneded that you change the exhaust hangers.
You should also change your engine mounts or at least add inserts, as well. This will prevent the exhaust from banging around due to engine movement.

That would be a good time, when replacing your rear engine mount, to upgrade your intake manifold.

Which would be a good time to upgrade to hardpipes.

Which would be a good time to upgrade your intercooler.

Which would be a good time to upgrade your intake to a CAI or short ram.

At which point you should consider EMS.

lol then just put a built motor in while you are at it!

but i agree, definitely get exhaust hangers. kartboy may not make them anymore but im pretty sure corksport does. there is no point in installing the exhaust, having it clunk, then having to put the upgraded hangers on. Just do it from the beginning!

corksport does make them. the vibrant is the most complete system on the market for the price, replaces everything but the S pipe from the turbo.

i got the corksport hangers and the only complaint i have with the exhaust is every now and then it hits my rear lip. but i think thats because the lip itself is starting to fall off on that side, i need to tape it or something. as far as motormounts.... i don't think they're really necessary for the virbant, it has a support brace that mounts in the same location as the stock exhaust as well as having a section of flex-pipe. motor mounts are a good idea (i just ordered some) but i don't think you necessarily need them for this particular exhaust
