I hear a high pitch chirp/squeak when i go over sharp bumps, and when i shut my car off. What can it be? im going nuts. I take good care of my car, so when it sounds like a 6 year old car i get really pissed off. I whent to the dealer all they did was make the C.A.I. bracket tighter. But still hear this shit.
HELP ME.

+1, I hear the chirp (reminds me of bad ball bearings and such) when I turn the car off. I am going to be calling my dealership soon and getting it looked at it, If no one knows anything I will post back when I hear something.

I have the chirp too. It very well could be my CAI moving around. At least I hope that is what it is and not one of the suspension parts starting to fail.

i get it too. my dealership gave me the old "we didnt hear it" speech. i dont get it when i shut down, but over bumps i do. i heard it could be the sway bar being loose. i personally checked mine and they are fine.
who knows ????????

I hope you dont forget to give ous this link.......

Well i finally found where the sound is coming from. taking it to meineke... i know someone that works there. The only thing is that it might be the noise just from shuting down , and not the one going over sharp bumps. I dont know what it is but its under the car right before the motor in the middle its something that hangs and its being hold by two rubber things. i was underneath when someone shut the engine off and i saw the thing move and creat the effing noice. Please people get on bored and figure this out.

Ohh and by the way i've had the dealer and other places check the sway bars, and the exhaust to see if anything was loose and the all told me everything was right and my suspension was okay aswell.

Well the noise ended up being the Flange right before the 2nd Catalytic Converter. Im going to the dealer to get it fixed or w/e they can do. I only know that's the high pitch chirp noise when i shut off the engine. Now the other high pitch chirp when i go over sharp bumps i have no clue what it is. Im hoping its the same problem. This sucks its a new car...

its no biggie gully. Our cars have a weak engine mount so alot of the engine movement is transfered to the parts connected (exhaust). Plus, we aren't in the 60s anymore were they made cars to fuckin last.

I had a friend of mine who was fuckin around in his dad's 68 chevelle wreck it into a concrete wall at 60 miles an hour. He wasn't hurt, the car got fucked up but, you don't hear of many people surviving 60 mph wrecks with concrete anymore do ya?

I had the exact same issue when turning off the car. It turned out to be one of the side motor mounts. The dealer was able to fix it quickly.

Im so mad! the dealer is not doing anything to help me out wiith this problem. The car sounds like shit when i go over small bumps. Sounds like theres a bird dying underneath my car. "Everything" seems to check out they said. Sports suspension my ass. Damn i know its like the easiest fix and they are no putting any effort.

Hey ^^^^^ there if you have a speed3 try putting the driver side rear seat down. I think Im having the same problem as you. Also if someone sits back there the noise goes away. I think mine has to do with the interior in the rear...FYI

Nope i took care of all my interior noises already. Seat Belt, and the glove compartment. This noise comes from the front, under the car. ah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My car has a squeaky seat belt... drove me nuts trying to figure that out! Is that something the dealer can fix? Or do i just spray some lube into it??

just do it yourself its very easy. Spray WD-40 on it.

I'll try that, thanks! I saw other threads about moving the seatbelt piece itself, so i figured i'd ask.

i have a CS tp. and it squeaks as well. especially when dis and engaging my clutch.

i think its b/c i used the OEM springs from the OEM midpipe.

did yuou use the springs as well? i think mine arent tight enough. imma tighten them this weekend to see if it stops

car never made this noise until TP was installed. and the noise starts once the exhaust is nice and warm-hot

I had the chirp when I was stock... sounded like some sort of belt. I always though it just meant I didn't let the engine cool enough after driving it.
