Selling a fully ported & polished and port-matched intake manifold for a third gen protege. VCTS removed with all end actuator port filled, sealed, and honed to flushness.
Does not come with VICS-- you'll need to re-use yours. Yours for $120 shipped. I need this gone.

interested in buying this, so vics is still used? is the vtcs the one that hurts performance so bad or vics, sorry im confused.

VTCS is the bad one (butterflies at the outlet to the head to induce swirling), VICS is the good one (butterflies in the middle of the intake manifold to change runner length).

^^what he said. Removing the torque building VICS will actually negate any gains to be had by a PnP manifold and then some.

is that price include shipping?

Nope. Consider it included in the $100 discount lol

Brainless. Got a small phillips screwdriver?

you could also just reuse the lower plenum on your current intake manifold... better than unscrewing cuz your gonna need a gasket anyways.
Also im not sure... but shouldn't you seal off the small holes between the runner? i can't tell from the pics.. but bump for some good sh!t

Sure you could use your existing lower plenum, but you'd be wasting 50% of this full PnP job. Not to mention both halves were machined to port match one another.

i have a "?" is this better than the protege garage or the same or will the other one be better with PNP job. Just wondering so i know what to choose

When you get a single runner manifold, the dynamics of your performance change. You gain HP but lose low end torque. Both will give you gains-- the single runner manifold likely more (though not to a significant extent).
There are advantages with going with a PnP unit. Do you really want the headache of converting fuel rails and retrofitting an EGR?

have you used it personally? also what gains are expected from it?

I did 2 full manifolds. One is currently on my protege right now. Very noticeable difference in the torque curve-- pulls harder in the higher RPMs too.
