I did some searching in the forum and found several posts talking about the adjustment for the automatic headlight sensitivity. None of the threads mentioned if anyone successfully had this done and what was done to adjust it.
My headlights come on in the middle of a sunny day when I pull into my garage.
Just wondering if anyone discovered the adjustment technique or if its a dealer only option because it is computer controlled.
Thanks. -m

The service manual says nothing about it.

I just turn them on and off manually...that way they are not constantly goin on/off which ive heard is bad for the xenon and it takes what? half a second to turn a knob......and the only adjustment i know of is that dial on the left side by the DSC where you can adjust the level of your headlights it goes from like 0-3 and moves them up/down.

^^ The owners manual has a blurb about the sensitivity being dealer adjustable. That said, I just do it manually as well due to shadows messing with the auto feature.

Its unfortunate that this isn't in the service manual since its referenced in the owners manual. Turning the lights on and off manually isn't a solution, its just ignoring the problem. We paid for this so I think its worth investigating a solution for it. I have a Camry I paid considerably less for than my 3 and its headlights work flawlessly. I'll see what I can dig up via my dealer and report back if they come up with something. --m

Yeah I get the same issue when entering the garage on a sunny day. I wish I could like borrow an experienced mazda tech for a day to ask him about my car/ fix little things.
