i think id wait on a fmic if i were you.
Why not get a real intake, maybe a downpipe(cp-e is probably the best right now), a motor mount, and then the dashhawk?
real intake= cobb sf=180
cp-e downpipe can be had for around 680
motor mount- 90-140(trz-cp-e)
dash hawk can be found for around 250.
That puts you pretty close to where you want to be. You could probably still even get the boost controller, and a map clamp if that isnt fast enough for you.

Unless you'll be sitting in traffic or doing back to back WOT runs, you should be okay with the stocker for now. The intake and exhaust are both pretty big restrictions, so I'd try to get rid of those as fast as possible

If you lived in a place where it actually gets hot in the summer you wouldn't be saying that. It just hit the upper 80's where I live and if you're not moving for as little as 30 sec you will start to heat soak. I had boost temps get up to 160 degrees the other day just from some stop and go driving.... I'm definately looking into a fmic in the future. Mostly likely CP-E or Cobb.

+1 on doing the intake and exhaust first.

This is how I did everything... I got the Motor Mount first.. then the turbosmart BOV to get rid of the leaky stock on and then Cobb Intake and CPE Catless and then I got the Front mount. My next purchase is the PG manifold...

i'd say turbo xs stealth back (down pipe/race pipe). cobb intake. get rid of the dash hawk. get a recirculating bov hybrid (recirc. a must). some suspension (springs) a boost guage and you still might have $100 for two tanks of gas !

mandrel bent? what kind of metal? just straight pipe?
FMIC will be nice, but get intake, motor mount, downpipe first.
Cutout will probably leak down the road...I was looking into for myself but they all leak as far as i could tell

Don't even bother with a cat back if you're on a budget, all it really does is change the sound. If you want more power get a downpipe or at the very least get a racepipe. If you want a different sound and more power then get a Vibrant exhaust, it replaces the racepipe section with a high flow cat and you get a nice sounding exhaust.
So, if you wanna spend $120 on your exhaust system, get a race pipe.

CAI, Motor Mounts, and Downpipe. Best HP gain for the money, and all easy. If that leaves some money, go for a BPV maybe?
