P5 Immobilizer

Search came up empty, and my skills on the google-machine failed me. Quick question:

Was the immobilizer available on the early 02 Protege5's, or was it only included/available on 02.5's and 03's? (scratch)

Im pretty sure that our Aussie P5-equivalents had an immobiliser that came as part of the factory alarm. Either that or it came with the Mazda Hi-Spec alarm that I had installed. Either way, i know I have one cause it played havoc with my Microtech install.
