I've seen several posts regarding the CAI and the Cobb SRI. What are the actual, true power gains with these mods? The Cobb website shows a dyno run at high altitude with a gain of 11 HP and 16 ft-lbs torque.

That seems like a small gain. What do all of you say--is the intake mod worthwhile?

Meant to post this in the MazdaSpeed3 section. If you have an N/A motor, please ignore.

yes it is very worthwhile, it makes the engine breath easier
especially when u have a turbo, the sri or cai makes a big diff.

my car not being turbo prob only got 3 or4 whp so 11 and 16 is a pretty big gain for such a small price

On an our N/A motor you'll see a couple HP/Torque gains but not much. It makes a nice improvement on sound. The Cobb gains you saw are for the turbo. However, it's a nice start if you're going to go the whole intake/header/exhaust route. Personally, I'm not a big fan of SRI's only because they don't make sense to me. You're still pulling in hot air from the engine bay with an SRI. So I went with the Fujita F5 CAI.
