a/c knob and radio trim help??!

My A/C knob game off and it won't come back on. It seem there is a white piece that is in the dash that keeps getting pushed when I try to line it up with the knob. I believe I just have to get into the center peice (below the radio) to get it back on. Is there an easy way to get the trim around the radio or that section to work on it?

Any steps or pictures would be greatly appreciated.
