CX-9 Canadian vs US specs

I just took a look at the Canadian specs of CX-9. I like their option packaging much more than the US.
For instance, can anybody explain why to have a power tailgate in the US I need to get either a moonroof/Bose or a RSES package AND a GT Assistance package? What if I don't want DVD and a built-in nav? Canadians can opt for a Luxury package including
- Premium Bose® sound system with 10 speakers
- 6-disc in dash CD changer- Center point surround sound system
- AudioPilot noise compensation system
- Intelligent Key System (keyless entry & start)
- Power tailgate
- Blind Spot Monitoring System

That's exactly what I would like to have in my car. Too bad I can't.

In Acura MDX (2007), you must order "entertainment" package to have the power lift-gate.
How interesting is that? "Entertainment"! Is that what power lift-gate is for to Acura people?

It is the same for all automakers. Someone is gonna get pissed one way or another.
You can't please everyone unless one can order as one wish. That would increase the
production cost for sure.
