NOS Front Mount Intercooler spray kit.

Has anyone had any experience with it, has anyone tried it, i have my front mount coming and i was able to get my hands on a kit for $150.

Do u suggest using it or whats your experience with them.

An intercooler sprayer does not send nitrous into your engine. All it does is cool the intercooler, to restore power lost through heat soak.

I'd imagine if you were to get any residual nitrous into the intake it would be insignificant, and actually probably help to cool your intake charge a bit.

i have always heard it was more for show. Theres stuff you could spend the money on and get alot more gains from, unless you already have most of that stuff.

with a front mount, you won't see much of a gain. the reason it works well for the tmic is because its sitting on the engine, cooking away, so a nice bath helps cool it down. with a fmic, your already considerably cooler to start with, so it won't make much of a difference.

The kit was $150 never used all parts sealed so i figured why not.

I have to disagree. I have a front mount, and it still get's noticeably heat soaked, even when it's not that hot out. Spraying nitrous on it makes a big difference. The only problem is you run out of nitrous very quickly, and that stuffs not cheap.

Joe is correct. They do help u get colder temps but its very temporary and as said, its not practical at all. If you go to the track alot, you can use it to help cool down before a run and in that application it would benefit, but otherwise its best to have it for show. Even then, its just somehting to block airflow to me.

Replace NOS with water and an atomising spray nozzles and you will get similiar cooling effect at alot cheaper cost.

N20 and water do not have a similar cooling effect. the water can only be cool as the ambient air unless cooled by an outside force, n20 is much cooler out of the bottle (similar to c02 which is better to use cause its cheaper).

but i agree, its a not economical in any way.

Maybe if you were running the 1/4 then youu would use NOS fmic spray. On the street the poofteenth of extra hp you gain over water for the price difference, you might as well flush your $$ directly into the toilet

yea that what i was talking about (see above posts). IM in agreement with you, i was just sayin water and n20 dont have the same cooling properties.

Gonna be doing CO2, for the FMIC and looking into water methanol system as well.
Im not worried about the cost as much as gaining performance and getting this car to run cooler IMO they run way hot.
