I'm not a fan of Weapon R and especially not a fan of SRI's.

hot air in the engine over time.

exactamundo. I feel that they don't offer much of a performance gain.

it will give you power down low for the TIME BEING but you will even loose that power once the engine bay gets hot enough. My CAI pipe gets hot as hell sometimes by the TB so imagine what temp air you would be getting if you were to put SRI. I have header and what not done so that's also why my engine bay would be a lot hotter than yours.

That's a nice looking SRI, but performance wise... (sad1)

Just add a little comment to the SRI vs CAI. I had a Simota SRI with OBXR header. I have actually measure the temp @ the air-filter, actually it wasn't that hot. However, the simota SRI comes with a carbon heat-shield, so I guess it does help. And I have notice my header has increased my engine bad temp, so I use some exhuast wrap to reduce the heat, and it works well, plus it reduce the exhaust noise as well. So, if SRI comes with a good set-up, is not really that bad. Just a little comment from myself. Thank you. (burnout)

I would go with the F2 intake....best IMO, plus a good price at that.

i'll be making a custom SRI soon from my old ebay CAI and see how it works out if i don't like it then i'll sell it to you for 40$ it is 2.5 inch piping. If you want power down low i'd go with a simota SRI or Cobb SRI if you want power from mid range to high range i'd get fujita f5 and if you have the money then why not f2.
