New Mazda Millenia Owner!!!

My name is Dustin, and i live in Springville, TN, and i just traded my 99 Cougar for a fixed up 1995 Mazda Millenia. It has a CAI, it's chipped, aftermarket glow gauges that change from blue to green, underbody neon kit, aftermarket KA Racing exhaust, tinted windows, graphics on the sides and hood, Alpine headunit, 2 10 inch Sony Xplod Speakers, Directed Audio 800watt amp, and a lil ricer wing i plan on taking off. I'm basically looking for other ideas for the Millenia, mostly performance wise. This is the 2.5L Millenia. I have heard people having major problems out of the Supercharged version, so i tried to stay clear of that. If u have any ideas or any info on how to mod the Millenia let me know, i would appreciate the advice and info. Thanks!!!

im going to be blunt and honest... that wing and vinyl are ruining the look of your car.

yeah i'm not gonna mess with the Vinyl it's not all that bad. But that wing that has to go....that kinda thing doesnt go on these kinda cars. What do u think would be a good one to go on it???Cuz i'm gonna have to have em fill in the wholes that he drilled to put this damn thing on...lol

He still has to fill in the holes... maybe buy a new trunk (i was gonna suggest a CF trunk but that would look tacky on that color car). OR trade your trunk with the wing, for another trunk without a wing, with a stupid ricer who has a Millenia.

Welcome...as for the car...I hope you plan on doing some work.

These cars are not ones that I'd consider doing any 'F&F mods' to. I think you should pull the vinyl, look for a set of 17's from a newer Millenia S or something simple and classy, maybe some HIDs, and a decent stereo. Solid cars though.

Sorry but if you want to get rid of the ricer look you are going to have to remove the vinyl as well. It is not hard to get off, just take a blow dryer to them and peel them off. Good luck with the car. I have always been cerious on what Millenia would look like all modded out.

lose the vinyl and the sunroof deflector, then that car would look really really good. Heat gun + putty knife, then clay bar and wax the car, you'll never know what it looked like before.

This is a 929...but I think this "look" looks really nice on mid/full size Mazda sedans...

Yeah i have looked into the VIP bodykits...and those things are really high. Just for the bodykit itself...their like $1800, and that's not including getting it put on by somebody. The sucky thing is they only make two bodykits for the Millenia and they are both expensive

really....I don't think this is a car where you can do a ton performance wise, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong guys, but this isn't exactly a track car. I'd take off the vinyl for the same reason you're taking off the wing, this isn't the type of car that lends itself to vinyl. The rims aren't horrible, but I think they're way too 1999 and you'd do better with something more VIP or sedan style....regardless look into something to drop it a bit. Don't try and make this car something it's not. It's not the same type of car as a cougar, you're looking at style not performance with what you bought. Just get on that vinyl/spoiler ASAP. Right now I'd just point and laugh at it thinking it was a 16y/o who got his parents car and saw fast and furious too many times.

Like i said i traded the guy i got this from a 99 Cougar with the tranny going out so like i said before i think i got a great deal. I'm on SSI disability so my money situation isnt all that great to begin with to fix up a car. I get $637/month, so i kinda got stretch that out with bills and trying to do stuff to the Milli and that's kinda hard to do. I really dont wanna pull the wing off just yet cuz then it would have holes in the trunk lid and that would probably let water in, so until i can get em filled and get just a reg. spoiler on there i'm not going to mess with it right now. As for the vinyls i think it is ok, nothing spectacular, but how many Milli's have ya seen with vinyls...probably not that much...so that makes it unique. I like to be unique and dont like to be like everybody else, so i'll probably just leave those on and not fool with it. As for the rims i got them off of craigslist for $375, when i had some of my back pay money. I had some 18 inch Velox VX-8's from the Cougar i just bought to go on it, but they are 4 lug and wouldnt work, so i said hey screw it these will do for now. So all in all the way it is now...i'm not gonna mess with it much, it's a head turner and all the people i have shown it too they liked it. I know they might not be Mazda inthusiast or anything like everybody on here, but they liked it is all that counts, and plus it's better then the Cougar i was gonnna have to shell out like $2000 and more to fix...cuz it was a mess to begin with. But i appreciate everybodies input and critiques on the car. Thanks!!!

just a suggestion on filling in the spoiler holes:

i took some clear tape, taped over the holes and took clear silicone sealant and put some in the inside of the trunk using the tape as backing and removing the tape when the sealant has dried. looks funny but my old wing looked funnier :D
