I have some brand coilovers on my Protege. Not sure which, because it was before I bought the car. But every since day 1, the car pops or clunks when I turn the wheel. Rather loud and embarrassing. I took it to a mechanic once and he said it was the coilovers. Also, the dealer I bought the car from said it was because of the coilovers. Is there any way to fix this? Perferably without buying and installing a new set of coilovers or springs... thanks.

I just pulled my front struts. Something doesnt look right. Arent the springs supposed to be compressed? My springs are just setting in there after the car is lifted.

u mean there loose? thats normal. u cud find a way to either make them stick to the top or the bottom. what u probly here is them rotating in the strut.

Really? I thought they were supposed to be compressed. I bought spring compressors just for the job. Thats a good idea though, I am going to try that, just gotta find some kinda adhesive for it..
