So I started my car up on Saturday with the new engine (#4 now, it's almost a monthly occurance lol) and my facking trans is buggered I think. I replaced my secondary shaft cause it was missing a few teeth, and I went over that tranny inside and out and rebuilt it and inspected eveything with a goddamn micrometer and a microscope practically... Long story short, on decel I get a LOUD clunking noise. Accelleration it's quiet as could be, decel only. It's related to wheel speed totally, and sunds like someone is in my tranny with a hammer whacking the side of the case. Differential gone too? When the teeth snapped off the secondary shaft I went over the LSD with a fine thooth comb. (Obviously.) and it was fine. No damaged teeth, etc.
Basically, before I rip it apart, what else should I look for? I know it's no the axles or CV joints or anything either cause I swapped them temporarily from my LX thinking that might be the prob.
Any ideas?
