The quest to license my (new to me) 1.6 continues.

Passed the etest (whew!!)

Took it to the garage for a saftey and (amongst a few other things) they're telling me the rear brake lines are rusted and swollen..I went under and had a look...the brake lines from the portioning valve to under the car are plastic coated, then the plastic coating stops until it goes the the rear of the car and up under the gas tank....that stretch of uncoated brake line is rusted pretty fierce.

- Do they make a brake line kit that goes the whole distance of the car?
- Do you have to drop the gas tank to replace the right side brake line..from a quick look it looks like it but I wanted to ask.

Pls advise,
Tony

I called the dealer today..good news...they make a brake line kit that goes from the portioning valve to the rear struts...both come out to ~$110 CDN, which is a lot easier then making and shaping straight lines to fit.
