Any way to turn off the panic button on the remote?

I hate the design of this remote...it's way too easy to hit the red button. I hit the stupid panic button when I don't want to and it is loud as hell. Anyone cracked the remote open or done anything else to disable it?

If you have a '04-06 US model you can get a flip key for a Mz6 sedan. It has a trunk release button (which won't work on the 3), but that makes the panic button half as large. I suppose you could also crack the casing open and directly disable the button by desoldering it from the board.
