MS3 Goofy Arse Alarm!

Hope this is the right place to post this as I didn't know if it fell under electronics or ECU.

My friggen alarm is annoying as hell! I'll unlock the doors with my remote, hitting it twice to unlock all doors. Take the next ten steps to get to my car, open the doors and BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP! Until I hit the alarm button and it shuts off. I turn my car on, drive away, and drop my buddy off at his house. He opens his door and BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP! I have to shut off the engine and hit the alarm button again for it to stop! Then I start it back up again and head home. I pull into my driveway, open my door and BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP! WTF?!?!?! This friggen alarm is pissing me off. This is not the first time this has happened either. It seems to happen only if I unlock the doors and take more than 10 seconds or so to open a door. Do I seriously need to open a door within 2 seconds of hitting unlock? Anybody else have this problem? Fixes?

LOL, yeah, atleast I do have an alarm. And atleast it works! But it works when I dont want it to! ARGH! I used to think the horn was pussy sounding, but in all honesty, its annoying as fack! Mazda knew what they were doing when they installed that horn!

On my car if I don't open the door within 20 secs or so of unlocking it re-locks itself. Sounds like there might be someting wrong with yours.

Yeah...My car will do the same thing. But there is a window of mis-opportunity there where if you hit it...BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP! Oh well...I think I'll just unlock my car as soon as I'm right next to it from now on. Atleast until that starts setting off the alarm. Friggen horn...

I have a sport, so i dont know, but take it into Mazda and ask them...but they'll probably tell you that its fine....:rolleyes:

Wow, another one. Same thing was happening to mine. I was also getting the locks auto locking like crazy while I was driving. When you hit the unlock button, does it blink just the 1-2 or does it look more like it flickered 3 times? Mine would flicker 3 times and what it seem is that it was unarming and immediately arming before I opened the doors. If I hit it as I held the door handle, I could get it to let me in without sounding off.
I went to the dealer and a reflash seemed to take care of it.

Don't have this problem with mine. Sounds like something needs to be reset in the alarm functions. Take it to your dealer!
