Guys, does your CX7 consume any oil?
Up until 3.300km there was absolutely no oil consumption.
Now at 4.200km the oil stick is halfway between min and max.
Sounds normal?

I never hard-run it until 1.500km (3.500rpm).from there on until 3.000 very seldomly lets say I reved it to 5.000 on overpass for like 5 times. and from 3.000 to 6.000rmp for like 10 times...

My CX7 (11,500 miles) does not show much if any oil consumption over a 6,000 mile OCI. At ~ 4,000 Km your engine is still breaking-in. According to my factory manual the dry fill of oil is ~7 quarts so allot remains in the oil cooler, oil galleys and cylinder head after shut off. It is important to have the engine off for a full 5 minutes or more before checking the oil. I also noticed that the little O-Ring on the oil dipstick will give some fairly hard resistance and you must make sure you push past the resistance to seat the dipstick to get a good reading. Ed

I have even checked it the following morning...the thing is that the manual states that it may burn up to 0.8l / 1000km so if I take it to the dealer they will say...normal...but is it?
