OK.... So I've heard around that basically no normal afc will work with our gay-ass ECU exept for the split second one. Is that one of the only ones that will really work bc of our so called learning ecu?
thanks,
tyler

other systems work depending on how much effort you want to spend in making it work. split seconds and unichips work right out of the box. honestly with what those two units do i don't know why you'd want to consider something else unless you are going full standalone.

Yea i suppose.. Have u had experience with either/both.. Which do u think would be easier to tune with?

i sell both. check and see how far away the nearest unichip tuner is from you. unichips cannot be end user tuned and must be tuned by an authorized unichip tuner. the split second can be end user tuned but needs to be wired in whereas the unichip is plug and play.

I live in the bum f*** of the US. (ND) I doubt there'd be anyone state. I'd have to go, closest probalby MN, but I know a lot of guys here on base that came from other place and have had experience with tuning so i'd probably go split second.

now that you can get a split second that controls timing, i think mostly the only benefit of the unichip is the plug and play aspect. That said i know the split second install isn't supposed to be hard at all. You wouldn't have a boost controller with the split second like the unichip has, but the unichip boost controller is pretty bad, most people get horrible spikes.

i'm not sure but i think you might need a wideband o2 to get the full effects of it for datalog if you get that option as well. someone please correct me if i'm wrong since i'm not sure if you need a wideband or not with Split second AFC

you do not need a wideband for the datalog function to work or to make the split second work. the wideband wire can be left untapped if you do not have one. having a wideband in line with the split second for datalogging is pretty nice to have for making changes to your map when the car is off and parked.
